A San Francisco jury found Nima Momeni guilty of second-degree murder in the 2023 stabbing death of Bob Lee, founder of Cash App.
A San Francisco jury found Nima Momeni, a tech consultant, guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee. Lee was found staggering on a deserted downtown street on April 4, 2023, dripping with blood and calling for help. He died at a hospital at age 43. Prosecutors said Momeni drove Lee to an isolated spot under the Bay Bridge and stabbed him three times.
They argued that Momeni was angry with Lee for introducing his younger sister to a drug dealer who she says gave her GHB and other drugs, and then sexually assaulted her. Momeni testified that Lee attacked him with a knife, claiming self-defense. He said he didn't realize he had fatally wounded Lee or that Lee was even hurt. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said the verdict showed the killing was a targeted crime
