has the floor. “I have some questions for you,” she tells our EIC, “things I’ve been dying to know. I think the internet will agree with me.” Swift begins her queries with an intriguing two-header: “What adjectives,” she asks, “does Anna use to give her highest compliment, and deal her harshest blow?” At best, a person is a “generous spirit,” Anna reveals. At worst? “Disrespectful.” So, did she find it disrespectful when Swift wore anto the 2016 Grammys? Au contraire, as it happens. “Taylor,” Anna replies, “…I was honored.”
At Swift’s request, Anna goes on to choose between life in a lighthouse or on a houseboat , describe a trend that she would like to disappear , identify her kindred spirit, and share what she would name a puppy right at this moment. Unbeknownst to Swift, there’s been a very recent, four-legged addition to the Wintour household—so that one’s easy. Easier still, however, is the question of Anna’s go-to dinner playlist.
