Taylor Swift shares how Joe Alwyn inspired song from 'Midnights' album

Taylor Swift dove into how her relationship with longtime beau Joe Alwyn inspired the track “Lavender Haze.”on Friday that she first heard the term while watching “Mad Men.”

“It turns out that it was a common phrase that was used in the ’50s, where they would just describe being in love,” Swift explained, adding that a “Lavender Haze” meant you were in “that all-encompassing love glow” and she found it to be “really beautiful.” “I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the ‘Lavender Haze,’ you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud,” the “Wildest Dreams” singer also noted, prefacing why the phrase reminded her of Alwyn, 31.Mike Marsland/WireImage

When recession looms, the reaction from executives is often to retreat behind the moat, pull up the drawbridge by cutting orders, production, investment, and the workforce, all with an aim to fortify the balance sheet with liquidity to ride out the storm. But this alone would be a wasted opportunity to improve competitive position at a time when rivals will be distracted.
