Taylor Swift’s concert film may mark the beginning of new opportunities for AMC Entertainment, one analyst argued in a Tuesday report.
“With an opportunity to further monetize the AMC theater circuit through alternative content offerings, we would not be surprised if this became a new focus of management in the near term to boost overall profitability on top of the solid industry recovery—and one that we believe would be well-received by investors with potential valuation multiple increases,” B. Riley Securities analyst Eric Wold wrote.
Shares of AMC Entertainment and IMAX were up 3.9% and 0.1%, respectively, in afternoon trading. Wold rates AMC at Neutral and IMAX at Buy.
