Franco, 22, was placed on Major League Baseball’s Restricted List on Monday after social media posts surfaced Sunday claiming he had an improper relationship with a female minor in the Dominican Republic, his home country, according to reports. He did not play in the Rays’ game Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians, and did not join the team for its current road trip in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
