Former Utah Jazz owner Gail Miller, speaking from the Larry H. Miller Company offices in Sandy, said that when her late husband Larry made a bid for the 1993 NBA All-Star Game, they envisioned it being an event that could bring the whole state together.“Well, I think everybody was kind of hoping that it’d be a warm spot! … I think most players, when it comes to All-Star Weekend, they want to be somewhere warm, where they can enjoy being outside or being by the pool.
