Nishida needs to get in this fight and on the scoreboard, and he knows that, as he is left-hand heavy at the start of this frame. Good work on the inside from the Aussie – Goodman is landing shots from different angles at different parts of Nishida's body, so he doesn't know where they are coming from and where they will land. Japan's Ryosuke Nishida and Australia's Sam Goodman contest the vacant IBF interim super bantamweight title. 115-113 - Ricardo Malajika defeats Tomoya Tsuboi by split decision to capture the WBC super flyweight title. Tomoya Tsuboi vs. Ricardo Malajika - Round 12 Final round coming up. Malajika needs a KO on Uncrowned's unofficial card but we know the official cards have the fight much closer.

A strong start to the 12th for Malajika, who staggers Tsuboi backward with a right. Malajika continues to find success with the right throughout the first minute. If the South African had let his hands go like this earlier, there'd be no doubt about the winner. Tsuboi comes back well in the final minute with long rights of his own.

Nice combination from Tsuboi to end the frame. Some good work from Malajika in the opening minute of Round 11. He connected with an uppercut on the inside and then landed flush with a left hook as the pair were exiting the clinch. He just puts a halt on Tsuboi's momentum but can he follow up on it?

Tsuboi continues to throw punches in bunches but they are not connecting. The heads come dangerously close to clashing again. Malajika is catching Tsuboi coming in with rights and hooks as there are openings in the Japanese fighter's defense. A lovely left hook scores too.

Best round of the fight for the South African. Tsuboi begins Round 10 with a one-two down the middle. They trade rights. Malajika misses with a pair of rights, but Tsuboi doesn't miss and he scores with his right.

A left-hand finds the target for Tsuboi, as does a chopping right. A short left hook connects on the inside for Malajika. Malajika is throwing his shots with more power now. The official scorecards have Tsuboi up by two points, 77-75, on two scorecards, while the third has the contest level.

Extremely generous cards. Malajika walks Tsuboi into a right hook from the southpaw stance as Tsuboi was coming forward. A bit of success for the South African and much needed, as this fight could be getting away from him. Tsuboi's body work and combination punching have been strong throughout this fight.

Two hooks land for Tsuboi at short range. They exchange power shots late in the eighth frame, and blood is pouring all over Tsuboi's face again. Malajika has fought much of the seventh round in the southpaw stance, where he tries to keep Tsuboi off of him by throwing jabs in volume, but those shots aren't deterring Tsuboi. Bodywork from the Japanese fighter. He is on the front foot, outworking Malajika and looking the sharper and faster of the two. Tsuboi does a great job of stabbing downstairs with lefts. One judge has it 39-37 to Tsuboi, while the other two have the contest level 38-38.

Tsuboi is boxing beautifully in Round 4. He is effortlessly darting into range and landing fast combinations. But now a solid right hand from Malajika thuds onto Tsuboi's chin at the halfway point. And an uppercut follows.

A pocket of success for the South African. A brilliant right from Tsuboi connects flush on Malajika. Malajika has been open to that lead right throughout. Close round.

Malajika has finally gotten into this fight. Brilliant overhand right connects on Malajika in the second minute. Malajika was looking to land a shot of his own and walked into a heavy shot, which hurt him. Tsuboi's bounce, body work and quick straight shots are posing issues for Malajika.

Lovely right from Tsuboi just before the halfway point of Round 2. Tsuboi fights with a continuous bounce, which means that when they come close together, there is always a risk of the heads clashing. The cut doesn't seem like a substantial problem in Round 2, but there is always a risk of another clash of heads and it opening up again. Tsuboi is the busier of the pair early.

Tsuboi looks to start fast, putting the pressure on the South African on his front foot and behind his left hand. A one-two from Malajika clips Tsuboi. A clash of heads has left Tsuboi's face a bloody mess in the opener. Nice right from Tsuboi.
