Where to take a therapuetic walk with fluffy and adorable alpacas in Lancashire
There's something quite rewarding about being among wildlife and animals. Whether it's just walking your own dog in the local woods, spotting a deer in the wild, passing cows grazing in the field on a country trail or visiting a petting zoo to feed the new-born lambs.
They're also known for being soothing, therapeutic animals, making them ideal companions if you're feeling a little stressed, anxious or in need of some calm. We headed over the border to Alpacaly Ever After in the Lake District to meet the animals in Winlatter Forest, but there is no need to travel that far, with a number of alpaca farms located right here in Lancashire.Prices: From £25 per person while experience packages start at £12.
Are you getting married? You could place the alpacas on your guest list for the wedding, as they are available to hire from Singleton for your big day.Longridge Alpacas, Goosnargh Where: Lodge Lane, Singleton, Little Singleton, Poulton-le-Fylde FY6 8LTThis site is relatively new to the alpacas world, launching in January 2021.
