T&T Supermarket, a beloved Canadian Asian grocery chain, is opening its newest location in downtown Toronto, marking a significant expansion into the city's core. The new store is set to open at 26 Edward Street on February 13th and will feature a wide variety of Asian groceries, as well as a street food section offering quick and easy comfort food options.

Get that grocery list ready, because T&T Supermarket , Canada's premier Asian grocery chain, is about to open their latest location in downtown Toronto . While T&T Supermarket avoided Toronto 's downtown core for many years (the closest you could get was their Cherry Street location), the chain seems to have turned over a new leaf when it comes to serving the city's densely populated areas.

Their first downtown foray proved to be an instant success, and since there's no sense in quitting while you're ahead, they're about to open another one. The new location is set to take over an enormous 31,000 square-foot commercial space near the intersection of Yonge and Dundas, making it very much a prime location for the thousands of commuters who pass through the area daily, as well as the hordes of TMU students who call that area home. Opening its doors at 26 Edward Street at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, the new location will carry the standard collection of T&T goodies as well as a street food section offering a selection of quick and easy comfort foods from an array of Asian cuisines. On opening day, the first 100 people to visit the store (or, if history serves, to line up before the store opens) will receive a $10 gift card, and any purchase over $68 before tax will get a free reusable tote bag. If you're hoping to avoid long lines, I'd recommend waiting it out for a few days past opening to check the new store out, since T&T's enthusiastic fan base has been well-known to cause quite a stir on opening day
