Multi-Grammy winning singer SZA will be joining Kendrick Lamar as a guest performer during the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show . The news was announced in a trailer released by Lamar and Apple Music on Thursday, showcasing Lamar walking on a football field before SZA playfully splashes him from behind. This exciting collaboration will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th.
Lamar and SZA are also set to co-headline a 19-city North American tour this spring and summer, aptly named The Grand National Tour. Kicking off on April 19th in Minneapolis, the tour will conclude on June 18th in Washington, D.C. Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins will serve as co-executive producers of the halftime show. Lamar's performance will be creatively directed by pgLang, a company founded by Lamar and Dave Free, who has previously directed many of Lamar's music videos. Last year's Super Bowl halftime show featured Usher with a star-studded lineup including H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and Alicia Keys
