Syrian forces have successfully repelled insurgents from advancing towards the city of Hama in the latest development of the ongoing civil war. The conflict continues as opposition forces claim additional territorial gains and capture of military personnel.
Syria stated on Wednesday that their counteroffensive has successfully pushed back insurgents who were attempting to advance towards the strategically significant city of Hama . Meanwhile, the insurgents claim they captured more Syria n troops and Iran-backed fighters in intense battles. This new escalation in Syria 's prolonged civil war comes after opposition forces, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Syria n National Army, captured large parts of Aleppo and areas in northwest Idlib province.
