Sweden skip Niklas Edin executed a perfect draw in the 10th end to edge Canada's Brad Gushue 6-5 and claim the LGT World Men’s Curling Championship on Sunday in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
After a slow start to the championship game, the Gushue rink of third Mark Nichols, second E.J. Harnden, lead Geoff Walker picked up momentum and scored a pair in the ninth to tie the game at 5-5.In the 10th, Canada was sitting three in the house and positioned to force the Swedes' final shot on a wide frost-accumulated draw path.
