The Chilli Boys re-called Loydt Kazapua and Andile Mbenyane after their last match, with Vusi Sibiya, Nicholas Lukhubeni, Junaid Sait and Kagiso Malinga amongst the changes for Swallows.
Though, the Dube Birds hit the front before the 20th minute mark when Malinga rewarded coach Ernst Middendorp’s faith in him and fired in from a tight angle following a cutback outside the area. Middendorp as ever made a substitution before the second half in Strydom Wambi for Gregory Damons, while Chippa introduced Siphelele Luthuli in place of Mbenyane.
Swalllows regained the lead in the midway stage of the second half when Kazapua mis-judged the flight of a delivery from a corner and Malinga stepped in to head home and completed his brace.
