After a game, English, who was coaching one of his CE23 Academy teams, had an altercation with a player from the other team who refused to shake hands. During the course of the investigation, the NLBA concluded that English’s response was inappropriate. As such, he was handed down the 60-day suspension, along with a requirement that he complete a series of courses on respect in sports.English turned a four-year collegiate career at the University of Hawaii into a professional career that took him across Europe before he ended his playing career with the St. John’s Edge. During his playing days, he was also a mainstay of the Canadian National Team.
