Toronto police arrested two men on Tuesday in relation to a violent carjacking that happened in the city’s west end on Monday night, and police say the suspects are connected with at least one other carjacking.
In a news release, police said an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old are facing multiple charges including attempted murder and robbery afterOn Monday night at around 8 p.m. police responded to reports of a car theft in the area ofPolice allege that the suspects approached a man after he parked his vehicle and demanded his keys.
The suspects then assaulted the victim, chased him across the road as he ran away and stabbed him multiple times with a knife, according to police. “They left the victim laying on the ground as they fled the area in the victim’s vehicle,” reads the Toronto police news release.Officers found the victim’s car on Tuesday and later arrested the two suspects and say they recovered the knife used during the robbery.
Police say investigators have found a connection between the suspects and a previous carjacking robbery on Sunday in theIn Sunday’s carjacking, according to police, the suspects approached a driver who left his vehicle running while making a delivery.
