Brockville \u0027suspected arson\u0027 part of wider OPP probe
Investigators on the ground on Perth Street in Brockville have been probing a devastating fire that destroyed an Outlaws clubhouse and forced the evacuation of an entire city block early Monday morning.The investigation involved the Office of the Fire Marshal, Brockville police and the Brockville Fire Department.“It’s just a slow, systematic process,” he added. “We’re not going to make any bold hypotheses.
“One incident, involving a shooting and assaults with edged weapons, occurred on July 8, 2023. Cornwall Police Service is leading this investigation. The other incident, which occurred on July 10, 2023, is being investigated by Brockville Police Service. The fire chief has since clarified some figures from the damage, noting there were five vehicles and one trailer destroyed in the fire, as well as 12 homes affected by smoke or heat damage in addition to the home on John that was destroyed.
