Officers tried to stop a vehicle that matched the description provided to police by witnesses who reported the theft, but the car sped off, later getting on Interstate 635, Ricketts said. The driver, whom Ricketts described as a man in his 20s, was arrested just northeast of the intersection of Municipal and Bexar streets and was taken to the Mesquite jail. No details were available related the charges that he faces.Mesquite police, with help from the Dallas Police Department, set up a perimeter in the area to search for the second suspect, but authorities were unable to find him, Ricketts said. He was wearing dark-colored clothes, Ricketts said.
