One of three men accused of raiding a northeast basement suite and torturing the occupant with bleach and a blowtorch denies being involved.

She said McLean brought along another man, who he identified as Rory, and they went to the basement suite of Sean Brooks to confront him about the break-in. “Mr. Libbrecht, you’re free to go,” Marion said in accepting Lancee’s argument there was no case against her client for the defence to answer.McIntosh then took the witness stand in his own defence and denied allegations by Brooks that he was one of the assailants who broke into the victim’s Falton Rise N.E. basement suite.
But he denied taking part in the assault, in which Brooks said he was restrained with zip ties, repeatedly punched and kicked, threatened with firearms and had bleach poured into his eyes and wounds.
