One of the four men suspected of kidnapping a Chinese national in the Toronto area last month has turned himself in to police.
Abdullahi Adan, 37, surrendered to police overnight after York Regional Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest on Monday. He is the first of four suspects identified by police.
Police said 22-year-old student Wanzhen Lu was violently abducted in the underground parking garage of his condo building in Markham, Ont. on the evening of March 23. Lu and a female friend were in the parking garage when four men pulled up in a black Dodge Caravan, according to police. York Regional Police said the investigation is ongoing and they’re still searching for three remaining suspects who are considered armed and dangerous. Although their names have not been released, police have circulated surveillance images of the men.
