A 25-year-old Surrey man has been found guilty of second-degree murder for the deaths of two people and attempted murder for the injury of another at South Surrey Athletic Park in July 2022. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) worked collaboratively with policing partners and the BC Prosecution Service to secure the conviction.

A jury has found a 25-year-old Surrey man guilty of murdering two people and attempting to murder another person.

Sgt. Freda Fong with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said the guilty verdict was the result of collaborative efforts between IHIT, policing partners and the BC Prosecution Service.
