Democrats appear to be slowly pivoting toward the support of a total ban of the social media app TikTok over its connections to Chinese-operated companies.
Sen. Angus King also voiced concerns about China’s relationship with TikTok. While King has registered as an independent, he regularly caucuses with Democrats.
King called for TikTok to divest from its parent company ByteDance, or Congress will"take the necessary steps to protect Americans from potential foreign spying and misinformation operations."sent on Feb. 2.
