It was a glorious day for Chorley Cricket Club on Sunday as they claimed the first silverware of the Northern League season.
The Riversiders batted first and were looking set for a huge total with professional Punit Bisht going well.
Howarth hit 40 and Roshen Silva was 44 not out but the real star of the show was Alfie Dobson, who struck a superb unbeaten 70. Will Moulton and Harry Barclay continued the run fest with the former hitting three fours and five sixes in a 29-ball 56, while the latter struck 41, including six fours and one six.
Moulton struck 13 boundaries and one six, while Howarth eventually perished for 119. His knock came off just 121 deliveries and included 20 fours and one maximum hit.
