annual report
The City of Belleville has released its Sunshine List for 2022, a list of public sector employees making more than $100,000 a year.
The list names 177 people, up from 172 last year. Of those people, 82 are with the police, 55 with the fire department, 39 with the city, and a single person from the library. The criteria to be on the list only includes salary, not taxable benefits, though taxable benefits are listed for anyone on it.
Belleville CAO Rod Bovay tops the list at just over $221,000 while Police Chief Mike Callaghan is second at over $208,000. In third place is General Manager of Environmental Services Perry DeCola who earned almost $190,000 last year.
