Sunnyvale police are seeking the public's help in identifying the gunman and driver of a Toyota Camry with custom wheels in the slaying of a 27-year-old woman...
, a black vehicle — which police describe as a Toyota Camry with custom wheels — drives up to another another vehicle in the complex’s parking lot. A man gets out of the passenger door and runs towards the other vehicle.Nine gunshots are heard as a man who police say is Merritt’s brother runs away from the second vehicle. The shooter runs back to the Camry, and it drives away.
A second clip of surveillance footage from a gas station shows the Camry stop at a red light at U.S. Highway 80 and Belt Line Road shortly before the shooting, according to police. Police described the shooter as a Black man who is about 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He was wearing a mask, police said. No description was available for the Camry’s driver.Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-8799. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
