Dallas received a reprieve from near-constant 90- and 100-degree temperatures beginning Sunday, but the rain also caused flights to be delayed at the area’s airports.
The National Weather Service issued a flood watch through noon Monday. The advisory means rainfall that can produce flooding is possible.Showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, with some of the storms potentially producing heavy rain. Rain chances will extend through the night and into Monday morning. Sunday’s high temperature is 83 degrees; the low is 73.
