The Summerside United recently defeated the Souris Lamplighters in penalty kicks to win the P.E.I. P.E.I. Under-15 Boys Soccer League championship. Summerside team members are, keeper Gavin Silliker, lying in front, and kneeling, from left: Nathan Jackson, Ian MacLauchlan, Colby Andrews, Carter Wedge, Kayden Wall, Evin Neill, Kalen Gough, Aaron Wood and Nate Rogers.
Colby Andrews opened the scoring in the gold-medal game for Summerside off a beautiful pass from Ian MacLauchlan. Summerside keeper Gavin Silliker played a big role in the win. With the score tied 1-1 late in the second half, Silliker turned in a brilliant save on a Souris penalty kick.
