Laurentian remains open, but profs encouraged to deliver classes remotely
We've received word this morning that both of Sudbury's colleges are also closed for the day due to the freezing rain.
Collège Boréal and its employment centres are closed today in the Greater Sudbury area, as well as Noëlville and Timmins. Staff members are asked to work remotely. Boréal's online courses are offered as usual. Cambrian College said its campus will be closed today. There will be no in-person or online classes, activities or student services available today. This includes the cafeteria and other on-campus food services. Students are asked to check Moodle for any specific instructions from faculty.
Laurentian University said in a tweet the university remains open today. However, faculty members are encouraged to deliver today's classes remotely where possible and LU recommends that employees who are able complete their work remotely.
