Fierté Sudbury Pride will be hosting another week of events celebrating “diversity, inclusion and love” from July 8 to 14, featuring the parade absent from last year’s festivities.
The parade was cancelled last year due to police involvement, owing to the fact that a community march on municipal streets would require police escorts of the event for traffic control, said the announcement. concerns expressed by the 2SLGBTQ+ community,” reds the release. “The overwhelming feedback underscored the importance of reinstating the parade while ensuring the safety and inclusivity of all participants.
