Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC), and the City of Greater Sudbury are hosting a community session for Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIP) next Wednesday
Employers in Greater Sudbury who are interested in hiring or supporting foreign workers are being invited to a public session at Tom Davies Square later this month.
The RNIP works to address local labour force shortages while encouraging immigration and population growth. Identical programs are underway in North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and Thunder Bay. Sudbury's RNIP website said the program is a unique permanent residence pathway for international workers, aimed toward filling important labour shortages in Sudbury and surrounding communities.
