Gillian Schultze says she's realizing a dream
Local artist Gillian Schultze is opening her own art gallery in the Cedar Pointe Plaza in Sudbury Nov. 10.The opening of this space realizes a dream Schultze has held since her high school art days.
But if you asked her less than three years ago if she would ever open her own Art Gallery, let alone make a living as a full-time artist, she would have definitively answered “No.” The loss of her director’s position at Laurentian University in 2021 served as a catalyst for change. Schultze seized the opportunity to dive headfirst into the world of art.
The opening party will feature new works by the artist, with music by Jamie Dupuis and Emma McDaniel.
