I was determined to find a way to donate.Three weeks ago I started calling hospitals and blood banks in the Los Angeles area. Every day the death toll is rising. People are in desperate need of help. I figured they would be thrilled hear from me.

And then I waited. Quarantined at home, I had nothing but time. A few days went by so I filled out the form again. The system is new.
