A 15-year-old male student brought a gun into a school zone on Monday.
Columbus police responded to the area of East Livingston Avenue and Lattimer Drive just after 12 p.m. and recovered a handgun from the teen boy.Police took him into custody at the scene, according to a statement from Columbus police.
The statement did not indicate which school officers were called to, but a quick Google search shows Walnut Ridge High School as the school in that area. School faculty called police notifying officers that the boy had brought the handgun into the school zone, according to the statement.
