Environment Canada issued wind warning for Sault Ste. Marie and Superior East; strong winds expected this afternoon, ending early Sunday morning
According to the alert, strong winds with gusts up to 80 to 90 km/h are expected to pass through different areas this afternoon. The strongest gusts are expected near the shores of Lake Superior, Environment Canada says.Environment Canada warns that loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Additionally, high winds may lead to power outages and fallen tree branches. Driver may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways.
