Public Works crews with the City of Corner Brook have closed a number of roads, and are monitoring water levels threatening other municipal infrastructure throughout the community following extensive rain on the province’s west coast.
Public Works crews with the City of Corner Brook have closed a number of roads, and are monitoring water levels threatening other municipal infrastructure throughout the community following extensive rain on the province’s west coast.
As a precaution, the City has also closed Riverside Drive to all traffic as a precaution, in the event the adjacent Humber River breaches its banks. With rainfall expected to continue in the region this evening, City Hall is asking residents to avoid traveling on municipal roadways experiencing significant water accumulation.
