Currently, she serves as the chair of finance and technology and vice-chair of both safety services and accountability and engagement.For the past four years, she has represented Stratford as a board member of the Federation of P.E.I. Municipalities, where she is vice-chair on the standing committee on municipal finance and intergovernmental arrangements and a member of the standing committee on both anti-racism and equity and increasing women’s participation in municipal government.

MacDonald said she plans to continue making active transportation improvements for Stratford residents while working with developers interested in making housing affordable in the town.
