Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Stranger Things season 5 producer Shawn Levy reveals a key tradition the show will continue. Netflix’s smash sci-fi series last streamed episodes back in 2022, and now thanks to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, the wait will be longer than expected for new installments to be filmed.
As the wait continues for Stranger Things season 5 to begin shooting, EP Levy offered up a nugget of good news, revealing in an interview with Collider that despite scheduling conflicts and other obstacles, he fully intends to return and direct at least one episode in the show's final run. This keeps alive a long-standing show tradition that has seen Levy taking the helm for episodes in seasons 1-4.
"I believe for that show, I've been alongside Matt and Ross Duffer for all these years. I direct episodes every year. It's a part of our brotherhood. It's a part of my commitment and my love of the show, connecting with it as a director, as well as an executive producer, so I will go through hoops to figure out calendars to direct at least one episode."
