Kids grabbed Halloween candy out the trunk of participating vehicles.
Adlai E. Stevenson High School’s Key Club hosted its community trunk-or-treat event Friday, accommodating kids dressed as their favorite super heroes, witches and other characters, in the school parking lot in Lincolnshire. The second annual event saw hundreds of area children trick-or-treating from creatively decorated vehicles. Also, there were games, music and activities at the free late afternoon event.
Jodie Mosk, Key Club sponsor, said the service club, has approximately 150 members and that 25 vehicles were decorated. “These kids are unbelievable kids,” Mosk said about Key Club members. “They just really want to do volunteer service.” Naomi George, 17, a senior, is committee head director of the Key Club. “For this event for kids, to be able to come and learn about what it means to be in Key Club at Stevenson is really important,” George said.
