Three more Stereolab (stereolabgroop) albums will be receiving the reissue treatment in September:
Set to release on Sept. 13 via Warp Records and the band’s Duophonic UHF Disks imprint, the albums will arrive as expanded and remastered editions on vinyl, CD and digital download.
Each album has been remastered from the band’s original 1/2” tapes by Bo Kondren at Calyx Mastering, and will feature bonus material, including 4-track demos, alternate takes and unreleased mixes. The initial vinyl editions will arrive on triple clear vinyl, and will include a poster and an insert containing sleeve notes by frontman Tim Gane. Each vinyl will also include a lottery-style scratch card, with its lucky winners set to receive an exclusive Stereolab record at the end of the year.
The band will also issue 500 limited editions of clear vinyl and 250 compact disks that include an exclusive numbered obi strip made from 2” 24-track Stereolab master tape.Emperor Tomato Ketchup titled “Freestyle Dumpling,” a screeching and wobbly alto-sax-heavy pop number.
