Stephanie Labbé loves forward thinking of Calgary's Indoor Nations Cup yyc

And this year, Labbé is on track to win the indoor title with Canada. The star ’keeper-turned-forward and her Canadian teammates line up against Italy in the open women’s final Thursday at the bubble in southeast Calgary .Article content “For us, it’s sticking to what we know that we do best,” continued Labbé when asked about strategy in the finale. “The coach on the other team is our coach during the regular season, so he’s got a lot of info on us anyways. But I think if we continue to go out and just continue to have fun and play like we’d like to play, then the rest should take care of itself.”

“The support of the tournament continues to grow with each season,” said CUSA executive director Pearl Doupe. “The 2023 competition is our largest yet with 42 teams representing 23 nations. Several firsts are occurring — our first women’s competition, and the open men’s event will see a team win that has won before.”
