Stefon Diggs almost didn’t make it to the 2024 Met Gala. Rain in Houston, his new home base since signing with the Texans last month, kept the star wide receiver on the ground last night. He was in fittings for the custom liquidy midnight blue H&M suit he’s wearing on the red carpet until just a few hours ago, but he betrayed no stress on a call from the Carlyle, where H&M set up in its fitting suite. “I was 100% confident in it, since I saw the drawing,” he told Vogue.
“But I’m just as excited as I was my first time, it’s like a new beginning.” Diggs’s new beginning with the Houston Texans officially starts on September 5, when the first games of the 2024-25 season will be played. For now, he’s getting to know his new teammates, including the rookie quarterback CJ Stroudl. “It’s a great vibe,” he said. “We know we have something special, we’ve got a lot of very talented individuals, we’ve got a young star quarterback. Now, we’re putting the rubber on the road.
