A former Steelers linebacker said he doesn't think the Eagles' 'illegal' move will end well for star quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Heyward’s former teammate, linebacker Arthur Moats, echoed similar sentiments.
“Philly started to weaponize it in this game where you really couldn’t stop it,” Moats said. “They’d go for it every fourth down.” Moats said he believes the NFL just wants offenses to be “unstoppable,” and that if he coached the Eagles he would run sneak every play. But he also warned the play puts quarterback Jalen Hurts in danger.
“You keep doing that QB sneak, your guys are going down low, your quarterback is sitting right up here, up top,” he said. “Head-shotted. It’s bad. It’s dirty. It’s not a good thing, but you want a person to stop running that play, that’s what you do.
