COLUMBUS, Ohio -- State Representative Kris Jordan, a Delaware County Republican, passed away Saturday. Jordan was a county commissioner and a state senator in his career as well, Brenner wrote. His death is a “great loss to our county’s Republican Party, the Ohio Statehouse and the conservative movement.” Gov. Mike DeWine on Saturday ordered that flags be at half-staff at the Ohio Statehouse and at all public buildings and grounds in Delaware County.
Jordan was serving his third term in the Ohio House of Representatives, after serving two four-year terms in the Ohio Senate, according to his biography on the Ohio House of Representatives website. He represented the 60th House District, covering the western part of Delaware County.
