Spirit Airlines returns to San Antonio International Airport

Spirit also announced routes to Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale and Baltimore at the event.SAN ANTONIO — Budget carrier Spirit Airlines took flight from San Antonio International Airport to Orlando, Fla., on Thursday morning, marking the company’s return to the Alamo City after more than a decade.
The additional nonstop routes will bring the airport’s total number of nonstop destinations to 41, said Airport Director Jesus Saenz. That’s up from the 39 that he said there were in 2019.On ExpressNews.com:Spirit is receiving $100,000 for marketing in addition to landing fee and rental waivers for one year. Brian Pratte, chief air service and marketing officer in the city’s Aviation Department, said the waivers are worth roughly $100,000.
