Benn had a goal and two assists while Seguin chipped in two assists to lead the Stars to a 5-2 win over the Islanders on Saturday night.
But during a partial change in the second period, Benn, Seguin and Faksa were on the ice together. Benn carried the puck through the neutral zone, dangled past Mathew Barzal and slipped a pass between an Islanders defender’s legs to Seguin. Seguin touched it to Faksa, who finished the play.“It’s funny how you take a break from a guy and play with him for so long, and it’s kind of instant just kind of knowing where he is and him knowing where I was,” Seguin said.
Benn capped his three-point night by roofing a backhand at the net-front to give the Stars a 3-2 lead about halfway through the third period.Benn now has 20 points in 18 games for Dallas, which would put him on pace for a 91-point season.
