Coffee lovers who prefer milk substitutes will soon no longer see an extra charge for oat, coconut, soy, or almond milk in their Starbucks.
Starting Nov. 7, all milk alternatives in Starbucks coffee orders will come at no extra cost, an item that most coffee shops charge extra.
According to Starbucks, requesting a dairy substitute is the “second most requested customization from Starbucks customers, behind adding a shot of espresso.” Niccol added he hopes Starbucks will stand out as “a welcoming coffeehouse where people gather and we serve the finest coffee handcrafted by our skilled baristas.”
In Starbucks’ latest Q4 Fiscal Year report, global comparable store sales declined two per cent, North America and U.S. store sales declined two per cent and international store sales declined four per cent.
