The most recent addition to Disney's live-action Star Wars offering, Andor, ended up being a critical darling for the franchise, drawing attention from even past Star Wars creators for how impressive it was. Andor premiered with three episodes on Disney+ in September 2022 to healthy levels of praise, but as the series progressed, more viewers got drawn into the intimate character story.
"One of the challenges of those properties is always like, well, so many of the things that you would love to do with those stories have been done and gone. And we’ve seen, you know, every kind of environment in Star Wars. And then Andor came out.
