Following Michelle Yeoh's Academy Award for Everything Everywhere All At Once, Star Trek congratulates the Best Actress winner.

The Star Trek franchise is celebrating Michelle Yeoh's Best Actress Academy Award win for Everything Everywhere All At Once. Yeoh's Oscar win is part of Everything Everywhere's massive victory as the film directed by Daniel Kwan won 7 of its 11 nominations, including the biggest prizes of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Editing, and Best Original Screenplay.

Michelle Yeoh portrayed the dual role of Captain Phillipa Georgiou and her Mirror Universe counterpart, Emperor Georgiou, for 3 seasons of Star Trek: Discovery. The official Star Trek On Paramount+ account as well as several Star Trek actors took to Twitter to shower Yeoh with congratulations and tributes.

Other Star Trek actors hailing Yeoh's Oscar win include two doctors: Robert Picardo, who played the holographic Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager, and Gates McFadden, who reprises Star Trek: The Next Generation's Dr. Beverly Crusher in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Even before her Oscar win, Yeoh is a highly regarded international star, and Star Trek: Discovery was immensely proud that she played Philippa Georgiou in the series.

Michelle Yeoh's talents were already in demand before her Academy Award, and her win raises the already pertinent question of whether she will return to Star Trek. When Yeoh departed Star Trek: Discovery in 2020, it was announced that a Section 31 spinoff was in development for her to star in. While Section 31 is reportedly still in the works, Yeoh's schedule may soon grow too busy for Star Trek, if it isn't already.
