GRANADA HILLS — The first position listed for Darrell Stanley on the Granada Hills Charter High football team’s roster is athlete. The dynamic junior showed why during a 34-13 win over crosstown rival Kennedy High at John L Haynes Field on Friday night.

Stanley added a 62-yard rushing touchdown as part of a performance that saw him pile up 210 yards on the ground. He also took over as the Highlanders’ signal caller following an injury to starter Jonathan Hernandez. Stanley’s freshman brother Pharrell, a starter already on defense, added his first of two touchdowns on the night midway through the second quarter. His rushing scores came from 30 and 18 yards.
