Buchnevich was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the 2025 offseason.

Buchnevich was set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2025 after the conclusion of his four-year contract with a $5.8 million cap hit that he signed with the Blues in 2021. He receives a raise of $2.2 million per year, with his new contract having the highest AAV of his career. With this new contract, the Blues lock him up until he’s 36 years old.

There are currently no details regarding any no-move/no-trade clauses or signing bonuses with this contract.
