ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has charged a 22-year-old man with sexual assault causing bodily harm by choking, following an investigation into a report of sexual violence.

In early April 2024, the RNC’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault unit received a report of sexual violence that occurred about a month earlier in St. John’s.The investigation led to the arrest and charging of the St. John’s resident on May 23.709-729-8000It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
